Abstract
ABSTRACT
There are several cases of gamers who are addicted to online games and have wasted their time. thus causing our eating patterns to become irregular because they are too focused on games (Yanto, 2011). The contribution of internet users in South Sulawesi Province is 76.13% APJII recorded the highest penetration of 15-19 year olds at 91%. The purpose of this study was to describe addiction to playing online games and eating patterns of adolescents aged 15-18 years at SMA 13 Sinjai. This type of research is descriptive using a cross-sectional study design, this study uses an online questionnaire to target adolescents aged 15-18 years at SMA 13 Sinjai, the number of samples is 129 people with the sampling technique Stratified Random Sampling with proportional allocation. Addiction to online games in adolescents is 45%. The frequency of eating time for adolescents is the highest, namely 54.3% high, 27.1% poor, and 18.6% good. Several types of staple food sources were often consumed from the highest order, namely 100% (129 people) consumed white rice, 36% (47 people) instant noodles, 31% (40 people) bread. Food sources of animal protein which were mostly consumed 85% (110 people) sea fish, and 63% (82 people) fish meat. The sources of vegetable side dishes that were often consumed were 33% (42 people) of tempeh, 8% (11 people) consumed tofu, and the rest did not eat vegetable side dishes. The highest type of vegetables consumed was 40% (52 people) of kale, and the lowest was 1% (1 person) banana flower. Types of fruits that are often consumed, namely 13% (17 people) consume bananas, and the rest of them do not consume fruits 64% (83 people). The average nutritional intake of male respondents is 1320.589535 Kcal of energy, 55.083721 g of protein, 27.55697674 g of fat and 209.8498 g of carbohydrates. the average intake of women is 1342.48062 Kcal of energy, 56.74109 g of protein, 33.20155 g of fat, and 70.96202 g of carbohydrates. The average energy and nutrient intake of protein, fat, carbohydrates for adolescents who are addicted to online games is less than the RDA
