Abstract

The belief in increasing a person's ability through educational activities shows that the progress of a nation or country is not only determined by the ability of abundant natural resources but more importantly the ability of the government to prepare human resource development efforts. The purpose of this research is to identify the supporting factors and obstacles to implementation. education and training at the youth and sports department of Takalar Regency. This research uses this type of research is qualitative with a descriptive analysis approach. This research describes and analyzes the implementation of education and training in the career development of the apparatus of the Youth and Sports Office of Takalar Regency. The number of informants of all employees who work at the Youth and Sports Office of Takalar Regency is 23 employees plus 2 people related to the Education and Training program. The data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, observation and documentation. The results showed that other non-training factors that influence the career development of officials in the Youth and Sports Office of Takalar Regency, namely: 1). Supporting factors include: organizational culture, and power. 2). Factors that hinder career development are an extension of the official retirement age, the minimum salary and incentives received, causing employees to take additional jobs to meet the demands of their life.
