THE EFFECT OF ANEMIA IN PREGNANT WOMEN ON THE INCIDENCE OF LOW BIRTH WEIGHT AT PALLANGGA HEALTH CENTER YEAR 2023
Abstract
Anemia is a condition in which the body has too few red blood cells. The research objective was to determine the effect of anemia in pregnant women on the incidence of low birth weight at the Pallangga Health Center in 2023. This study used a descriptive research design. The population and research sample are all data on pregnant women at the Pallangga Health Center in May 2023 as many as 51 people. This study uses secondary data. Data analysis uses the help of the SPSS 22.0 program. The results showed that (1) the number of postpartum patients at the Pallangga Health Center, Gowa Regency, was 51 people, of which 7 patients (13.7%) had anemia, while the number of patients who were not anemic were 44 people (86.3%) (2 ) the number of postpartum patients with LBW was 1 person or 2.0%, while normal babies were 50 98.0% (3) 7 parturition mothers who were Anemia with LBW were 1 person (2.0%), anemia with BBL as many as 6 people (11.7%), not anemic with LBW as much as 0 (none), not anemic with low birth weight as many as 44 people (86.3%).
