The results of basic health research (Riskesdas) in 2013 showed that joint disease in Indonesia was based on the diagnosis of health workers (nakes) at 11.9% and based on diagnosis and symptoms at 24.7%. Gout is still a major problem in the world of health, as evidenced by various cases of complications. of gout such as kidney failure, kidney stones and others is still quite high. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of the elderly in efforts to prevent gout at the Kassi-Kassi Health Center. The research method is a quantitative survey, <em>Cross Sectional</em> approach with <em>Accidental Sampling</em> sampling techniques. ata collection was carried out through observation and interviews. Data were analyzed using the SPSS program with the Chis-Square statistical test for Bivariate analysis and data presentation was presented in tabular form and accompanied by an explanation. The research results showed that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge of elderly people from the Tofu aspect with the values ​​of X² (5.567) and (p) (0.018), the understanding aspect of the values ​​of (0.026) in Efforts to Prevent Gout. It is hoped that elderly people suffering from gout will further increase their knowledge and behavior regarding preventing gout and routinely check their uric acid levels with health workers, as well as reduce consumption of foods that are high in protein.
