Increasing Community Involvement in Local Governance from the Perspective of Community Organizations
Abstract
This research explores the role of community institutions in supporting the village head's duties in the field of development in Manggala Village, Makassar City. The research method uses a phenomenological approach through in-depth interviews and document analysis. The findings show that institutions such as RT, RW, LPMK, PKK, and Karang Taruna play a strategic role in social mediation, aspirations for community needs, and policy implementation. However, limited funding, inactive membership, and uneven development are the main obstacles that affect their performance.
