PENGARUH MOTIVASI DAN DUKUNGAN SUAMI TERHADAP PEMILIHAN ALAT KONTRASEPSI IUD PADA IBU DI RSKD IBU DAN ANAK SITI FATIMAH MAKASSAR

Abstract

ABSTRACT The IUD as an effective contraceptive, more EFA mothers should use the contraception. In the selection of contraceptives, there is still a public assumption that the responsibility for the selection and use of contraceptives is left solely to women, so men are less motivated and less supportive of their wives in the selection and use of contraceptives that are suitable and appropriate for themselves. The purpose of this study was to look for the influence of husband's motivation and support for the selection of IUD birth control for mothers in the RSKD of the mother and child of Siti Fatimah Makassar in 2015. The type of research used was Cross Sectional Study. The population in this study were all family planning acceptors in RSKD Ibu and Anak Siti Fatimah Makassar in August 2015 as many as 79 people. The sample in this study were some family planning acceptors in the Mother and Child Siti Fatimah Hospital in Makassar in August 2015 as many as 44 people with sampling by Acchidental Sampling. The results showed that based on the results of the chi-square analysis p value = 0.045 was smaller than α = 0.05, this means that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus there is an influence between motivation and the use of KB IUD. The results showed that based on chi-square analysis p value = 0.030 was smaller than α = 0.05, this means that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus there is an influence between husband's support and the use of the IUD KB. Encourage mothers to pay attention to when the mother must return to control her IUD and the mother must understand and be clear about the side effects of the contraception used.
