Abstract

Measuring both the success and failure of DPRD members, especially in carrying out the budget function, is still difficult to do objectively. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the budget function of the members of the Regional People's Representative Council Takalar Regency. This type of research in this study is qualitative. Case study is a type of qualitative research. Therefore, this research approach is a case study in which the researcher conducts an in-depth exploration of programs, events, processes, activities, for one or more people. Data collection techniques are by using interviews, observations, and documents. The implementation of the budget function is quite good. Although there are still members of the DPRD who do not yet have knowledge of budgeting or understand and understand the implementation of budget functions. However, in general, they already have knowledge or understand and understand the implementation of the budget function, especially in the discussion of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget.
